How FSA Digital Services Came To Be, and Why

Our company was formed in 2006 by founder and current owner Brett Brodersen, who has accrued nearly three decades' worth of experience in the fields of various forms of media, mass communications, video creation and editing, and photographic preservation and restoration using the world-famous Adobe Photoshop software and its many plug-in programs.  He wanted to help preserve the rich photographic  and film heritage of the Midwest where he was born and raised, offering non-destructive, all-digital restoration services in the fields of photographic still images (both prints and negatives), films and videotapes of all sizes and types, and sound recordings.

To summarize it all into a single sentence, Brett believed that, with the emergence of digital technology, there was finally a high-quality solution to the problem of preservation and sharing, and long-term storage solutions that would make it possible to preserve those restored items for literally hundred of years.

What we believe sets FSA Digital Services apart from other local and national restoration services is our attention and dedication to the lost art of truly personalized service.  We do not rush through our work in order to get on to the next item of business; we know that there is no "cookie cutter" approach to your needs. Each item is as unique as a fingerprint and, while similar to others, is unique in its own way and will therefore require a unique solution.  The vast majority of items are truly one-of-a-kind treasures and we are very aware that the results of our efforts must be "just right."

All of our restoration work is done locally; unlike national chains and some other services, we do not outsource your work or rush it through a machine as so many others do, to let some nonthinking computer do automated repairs or restorations. Everything we do is very individualized and done with a discerning, experienced set of human eyes, and we think that it results in work that is a cut above the rest.  You can see that in both the work that we do the results of our work and the smiles on our clients' faces.

Our love of personal history is what both drives us as a business, and what makes us successful with our clients. We treat your images and items with the same care and respect that we would if they were our own.  We believe that our holding an "A+" rating with the Better Business Bureau (their highest rating) speaks for itself.
